Welcome to my Bed & Breakfast in Bíldudalur.
I´m so delighted to have you visit this small village in the Westfjords of Iceland.
It´s great to stay at Bíldudalur when discovering the south area of the Westfjords. Coming back to base after a long day of making the most of the Icelandic ever lasting summer daylight. Waking up the next day to discover new little adventures. You are well centered in this friendly village for day trips to the most popular attractions in the area with guidance from the locals. A must see in the village is the popular Sea monster museum, that brings you into the wonders of the mystical creatures of the deep ocean.
You can reach in 35 minutes Bíldudalur by a plane from Eagle air. For “Icelandair stopover passengers” it´s a great opportunity to discover the wonders of the Westfjords.
The wintertime in Bíldudalur is a completely different world. With impassable roads to the main attractions of the area, this quiet little place becomes a place in heaven for stress relief. Escape from the loud, crowded city to this perfect place to refill your batteries. Snow, small community, northern lights…
We are open all the year, but please make sure to check availability and book in advance when arriving in low season !
Nice accommodations. Building does not look appealing on the outside but the inside is nice. Breakfast was good with a very friendly staff. Our room looked out over a fishing harbor. Very scenic. The restaurant next door is delightful and the Norwegian woman that runs it is super friendly and helpful. It was a highlight of the village.David
Breathtaking surroundings. Wonderful host (Asa — pronounced “OW-sa”. Quiet. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices and something extra from Asa every day. Restaurant next door was really good.Lovely owner, had a great time talking to her and learning about the beautiful West Fjords. The place may not look stunning on the outside, but it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Wonderful views and a spacious but cozy inside. Great spot!Kenneth
Don’t be deceived by the exterior of the building; inside is fabulous and very tastefully renovated. The B&B is a work in progress and is being lovingly developed by the owners. Our host was fabulous. She loved telling us about her town and the local customs and events. Wished we could have stayed longer!Pauline
Very friendly and helpful staff/owner; clean bedroom and comfortable simple beds; great common room/kitchen/playroom area – the access to toys and books for our toddler was an unexpected bonus! The breakfast supplied was great. Note: there’s really only one place to eat in townGareth
